..........
College times, you have few dreams, few aspirations. You do some course here and there. Your friends starts working in a call center. They start earning well. They enjoy their weekend offs, goes to pubs, have freedom to spend as they are earning.
You also finds a job, and get yourself busy. The dream is still there lying hidden.
Day 1, you work, learn, laugh, feel good with an AC Car pickup and drop. Reach back home, everyone happy, you are earning. You feel good. Change clothes, watch TV, log on to Facebook, enjoy the time and off to sleep.
Day 2, you work, learn, laugh, feel good with an AC Car pickup and drop. You are back home, a little tired. Sleep
That dream is still there but there is no time.
Day 3. Same routine. You think about your dream and promise to yourself, that this weekend you will do something about it.
Day 4, very enthusiastic you plan for the coming weekend.
Day 5, its a weekend, you party in evening. You get up late next day.
Day 6, you get up late, as you partied last night. You are earning now, take a chill pill. Parents do not bother to wake you up. You are earning now. You are a responsible person.
Half of the day is gone in bed. You got up, lazy, and tired. You make a list of thing you have to do. Your friends come, they are earning well now. Saturday should be a shopping day.
Your dream is a little lost now...
Its Sunday, you will wake up late. Remember you are earning now. Independent and responsible person. Suddenly the realization, ohh, prepare the list of things to do again. "No problem, i will do all this next weekend onwards" And with this promise, you enjoy the rest of the day, and go to sleep.
Next week, the same routine starts, and ends with a same promise.
Weeks becomes months, months becomes years, and years becomes a life time. But your dreams were still there lying inside you. Waiting to be realized.....
Tarun,
ReplyDeleteVery few people have to courage to accept that they had a dream, which is somehow lost in the juggernaut for earning salary which we feel keeps going with life. Nothing wrong with it. Happened with me also. However, there is something called "the spirit of bouncing back". Once this spirit is lost, you have committed a sin. That dream should not just die, even if it is not materialized. That ways, it still keeps your hope alive. Being a martial artist and studying for international courses, was a distant dream for me, few years ago. Just like you, I was separated from them for about ten years due to work...I bounced back now, and I am happy, that there are still few more dreams on which I have to work...dreams will not always materialize into achievements. But in the pursuit of dreaming, it will definitely open more avenues, which we might not have thought while dreaming...he he he...so live in your dreams, is the only suggestion I would give you...after all, dreams are taxfree...he he he
